Our Story

Runner rebuild was born out of unfinished business

Runner Rebuild started at mile 15 of a marathon I never finished.

After months of focused training, I felt stronger and fitter than ever, ready to take on my first marathon — until a sharp pain in my leg stopped me cold. It was a stress fracture middle of the tibia, and my race ended there.

The weeks that followed were some of the hardest. From the the initial feeling of failure – and that perhaps my body just wasn’t built for being a runner, to building myself up to walk again whilst relying on my wife for daily life that you take for granted when mobile. But over time, I realised this setback could be the start of something bigger.

I began learning everything I could about recovery — not just the physical side (rehab, strength, nutrition) but also the mental side: staying patient, motivated, and believing the comeback was possible.

That process — the small wins, the rebuilding, the rediscovery — became Runner Rebuild.

Today, Runner Rebuild is for anyone on that same path: the runners sidelined by injury, those trying to rebuild fitness, and anyone who wants to return stronger than before.

Because rebuilding isn’t just about running again. It’s about rediscovering your strength — in body and mind.

Our Journey

How Runner Rebuild Came to Life

Runner Rebuild was born from a setback that changed everything.

After months of marathon training, injury stopped me mid-race — a stress fracture that forced me into time of recovery and reflection.

During that time, I learned how powerful the right guidance, tools, and mindset can be in rebuilding stronger.

I began sharing what actually worked — from recovery techniques to resources that made a real difference.

What started as a personal journey has grown into Runner Rebuild — a trusted space for injured runners to find honest advice, tested recommendations, and motivation to come back stronger.

My Mission

My mission with Runner Rebuild is simple: to share what I’ve learned through injury and recovery, so other runners can rebuild stronger, avoid common mistakes, and regain their confidence in running shoes.

My Values

I value honesty, empathy, and practicality. Every tip, product recommendation, or story on this site comes from real experience. I believe recovery should be sustainable, realistic, and empowering.
